FS: 1998 Acura Integra GS-R Supersonic Blue Pearl. Central MA
I am currently taking offers
History:
I bought this car in Sept 2007 with 146,xxx miles on it. I bought the car in MD from the original owner. When I bought it the car was 100% stock, original motor, clean title, and ran like new. The only mod was a sony CD player. Too good to be true? Seemed that way, but it was a very good find. I was searching for a GS-R for months before I found this one, and couldn't have been happier. I have a winter car, last winter the Integra was off the road from Nov-May. It has still never seen real winter driving, and it shows. I am selling it because I don't have time to invest in the car any more, it was my first honda, and my first project, but right now I just want a beater while I save for an S2000
Current condition:
155,6XX miles.
Passed MA inspection in June 2008.
Looks and runs as good as it did the day I bought it. There is NO rust on the car, original paint still looks great. I babied the car with ZAINO Bro's products, and it shows. All the work on this car has been done by me, and it has been done right. All the parts I installed were BRAND NEW, purchased from THMotorsports, Tire Rack, Stillen, etc.
Here are the modifications I have made to the car, with the dates I completed the work:
October 2007:
Konig Brite-lite wheels 16x7 with Falken Ze912 tires (plenty of tread)
Locking wheel lugs
I still have the original GS-R "blades" with Bridgestone Potenza tires (also good tread)
Also have the original wheel lugs
November 2007:
Bought an ipod interface hookup for the Sony unit. The ipod sits in the glove box and you control it with the CD-player or Remote Control.
June 2008:
AEM Short Ram Intake (blue)
Koni Yellows with H&R Race springs. Bought new OEM hardware, OEM bumpstops/bushings.
Hidden fuel pump kill switch.
July 2008:
DC 4-2-1 one-piece Ceramic header
Skunk2 test pipe with o2 sensor mod (NO CEL)
APEXi WS2 exhaust, full cat back.
August 2008:
Viper Two-Way alarm installed at Best Buy. The guy who did it has an RSX-S and was super legit. He did an excellent job, and we actually became friends during the install. I stayed and watched the whole time.
September 2008:
Magnetic Drain plug; can't wait to see what it pulls out of my oil pan.
I still have most of the OEM parts, and will include them with the car if you want to revert anything to stock. The only thing I don't have is the two OEM front shocks, they were rusted and I had to strip them to get off the bushings. I do have all 4 OEM springs if you're worried about ride height.
The Header/cat/exhaust all bolt up perfectly, had no issues with the install. Bought new OEM rubber hangers to keep it that way. Suspension is nice and stiff, awesome at high speeds and around turns. Never been to the track but I bet it would be an awesome setup for it, and it's fine for a daily driver. The drop is about 2"F and 1.75"R and looks awesome, almost tucking tire but not slammed. No rubbing, ever.
Maintenance
The car was nice when I bought it, and nicer now. I restored the paint and kept it that way with ZAINO Bro's products. If you don't know what ZAINO Bro's is, it's the best line of products for a car's finish IMO. I removed the broken power antenna, and capped the hole with a black water-tight stopper. I also stitched up a (small) torn seam in the drivers seat. Oil changed every 3,000 miles or less. Slight oil leak led me to replace the valve cover gasket, no noticeable leaking since. It does not burn oil either. The timing belt was replaced at 94,000 before I bought it. The owner was nice enough to let me look at his service records because it was a big concern of mine.
I have replaced: Battery, both high-beam bulbs, hood seal clips, windshield wipers, LCA bushings (koni install), spark plugs/wires, valve cover gasket, VTEC solenoid gasket, and probably more that I can't think of.
AC blows nice and cold, heat works perfectly also. Power windows/locks/sunroof all in working order. Power locks work with Viper alarm for keyless entry. I have two keys (OEM+spare), and two viper remotes.
The bad:
The ONE problem I have with the car is some moisture in the headlights on one side. I have not had time to work on fixing it. There are some very small dings, and some very small scratches in the paint. The GS-R blades are not perfect, and have some oxidation on the finish.
The photos show the car at different stages. I can take more detailed/specific shots, just PM with what you want to see. Engine bay photos coming soon, I know that will be a selling point. NO photoshop in any of these, enjoy...
