Default Auto to Manual swap

Im looking at a 96~ prelude. It has an automatic trans in it. Well the guy that wants to sell it to me said it has an f22 swap. Im looking to either swap to a manual trans.(which One?) or go back to the h22 or pick up a B series. for the price of this car its worth getting. i just dont like an auto. :D

Any f series or H series transmission fill fit. The h22 would be a good swap.

The B series Will not fit.

youll get similar performance from a b motor that you will from a h motor... go to an jdm h22 (h22a) youll get great hp and itll have the manual transmission with it for around $1500-2500. im sure you can find it cheaper but on average thats what youll pay. if your looking for performance the f22 probably wont be what your looking for, the b series is a headache waiting to happen with the swap because of the fabrication, so IMO the logical choice id the h22.

well you the the H2B option. but as far as i know. no one makes mounts for this swap. they would have to be custom made. plus......

why put less TQ in a heavey car?(with a B series motor) iv never seen it personaly done but it justs sounds like a bad idea to me

get a h22. thats what i did swaped the f22 for h22 and h22 trans and i will only replace that motor with another h22, wouldnt even think twice

i think you should stick to h22 also, if you have the time and money, a friend of mine got some kind of coverter to put the b series tranny on the h22, but you would also have to swap out hydrolics for cable
