Default alternator problem

my 99 civic is retarded. The alternator tests good. It runs the car fine. no battery light or anything. all connections are good but it wont charge the battery. All my battery is doing isstarting the car. and its a brand new battery from honda. its about 6 days old. i replaced it thinking my battery went bad. any ideas?

also... it runs with a misfire at low and high rpms. new plugs wires and cap and rotor....

???????

yup alternator sensor fuse but if that blows it should throw a battery light.

If that fuse went... would it cause the whole misfiring thing. it seems to make sense... unstable voltage... unstable spark..

did you just did a swap? if so check all the grounds.. meaning transmission ground cable, and head ground cable.. I had the same problem and I forgot to put a stupid ground cable from tranmission to chasis.. fixed it..

yes it does.. your battery keeps getting drained therefore you THINK your alternator is not doing its job even though it is.. so as you run your car without a ground on the transmission eventually it will waste your battery faster than the alternator trying to charge it.. then in time your car will NOT start at all.. this is what happened to me my friend.. had my alternator checked, changed fuse #15, replaced alternator, everything until one day it just doesnt start.. I had to recharge my battery 7 times at autozone.. then I finally figured it out.. I didnt have a ground wire to my transmission.. I felt like an IDIOT.. I put it on and after that the car started like a champ and I NEVER had a problem after..
