Hey guys, I have a 1998 Integra with a JDM front end and trying to figure out if I can use the stock Integra hood latch and cable or if I need one off a JDM integra or civic, etc.? Thanks in advance

 

i believe you need the JDM hood latch!!

 

do a search. a da one will suffice though.

you need a jdm hood latch

 

I just recently did a JDM front end on my car and I went to the dealership and bought a DA latch cable. It is much longer then the normal DC one so I would just buy the DA and not waste your time finding a JDM latch since it might be more expensive and may take awhile to get.

 

a jdm hood latch is only like 40 dollars.

I used my OEM one and bent it slightly to fit the hood and use a DA cable.

 

DA latches work, to use the oem one you could just turn it around for a temporary solution.

 

A jdm hood latch is the same as the usdm hood latch. On the jdm rad. support it is just on the opposite side facing the other direction. You can reroute your cable from your fender well to your engine bay. It will also help stop thieves.

 

Thats exactly what I did on my teg. Just used a dc latch and bent it a lil bit and ran the cable through the engine bay..

 

Nice to see that I can use the DA cable because I open my hood manually .. loll
