Attention: people that have used struts to hold your trunk i need help..
Ok so i built up a bracket riveted it in the trunk to the back, then i drilled the hole on the trunk bar (whatever its called) and stuck the strut to the bracket and to the trunk bar, and now when i close it the left side where the strut is, doesn't close properly what can i do please help, thanks, if this doesn't help i maybe can get pictures.
i think i didint have the trunk fully extended or something im not sure going to try and fix it in my auto class in the morning.
eays put washers on the bottem of the truck hinge (where it meets the car not the trunk) and it should lower the stance of that side of the trunk. but the strut might be pushing to hard. so if thats the case. just move the strut back some if you can. shouldnt be a big deal. just make adjustment where ever else you can make adjustment to get you self and all arond proper fit?
i think its pushing to hard so im gonna try and fix it hopefully my auto teacher has a good idea =/ will update after wards.
my auto teacher said the strut is to strong for the trunk.. so now im stumped i need to find a place to buy one i already returned the old one
