Blitz Throttle Controller for Si
I performed a search and didn't find anything related to this product on this forum.
Does anyone have this installed? If so, what are your thoughts about it?
Just in case you're not sure what I'm referring to, see this page.

I had never heard of it before I visited that link. I'm interested to know if it actually does anything. $420 is a lot of money for something that doesn't actually add any power.

Never heard of it huh? I guess most Si owners haven't. I heard about it from a fellow tech.
It's true that it doesn't add power, like an exhaust, intake, header, et cetera. Seems to me that this will alter the APP (accelerator pedal position) sensor's input to the PCM in order to make it seem like the accelerator is pressed further down than it really is. But, I'd have to look at install instructions to know how it's wired in order to verify that, but it doesn't seem likie Blitz has them yet available.
In any case, I think I might want to get this for my Si. EBay has them for around $375 plus shipping. Sure, not that cheap there either. But, if Blitz isn't BS'ing, this might sound like a good mod.

Don't mean to double post, but I talked to Blitz today.
The Blitz throttle controller has an integrated amplifier of sorts which essentially amplifies the APP and TPS signals input to the PCM. This, in turn, causes the PCM to increase its output signal to various output devices, including the throttle plate motor (which opens/ closes the throttle plate in DBW systems based on an output signal from the PCM) as well as fuel injectors and so forth.
So, although you may only press the accelerator pedal down 10%, the controller can amplify the signal based on what setting you have on the controller (up to 200% amplification is the max I believe). Thus, if you press down 10% and have it on max setting (double amplification), the input signal to the PCM will be as though you have the accelerator pedal pressed 20% (200% of 10%).\
The guy said that many of the people at Blitz use it on their own cars. I believe the guy I was talking to said he used it on his Yaris (I tried not to laugh; he was a cool guy and really helpful).
I'll let everyone know how it works when I install it.

My favourite parts of a car are chassis and brakes tuning. Let me tell you about spending 1000$'s without adding any power...
Adding power usually ends up being the most expensive way to go faster around a track, and one of the last steps to take IMO.
This might be a cool mod, a lot of people will add ITBs for negligible power increase but that crispy throttle response, and this seems to be a similiar upgrade...

Here is a Buddy Club e-THROTTLE BOOSTER that i just picked up from King motorsports. I won it in a raffle and it's currently for sale in the 06 civic classifieds.
