Default Working wtih a project that has GPS tracking but I need help to "proof" the product

Details will be revealed as the idea is cemented but I do remember reading that DEI/other alarms can be zapped by taking a huge magnet to the car or shocking the electrical system?
Is there a way to self ground units that run off of 12v?
also protect it from such backfires?
A backup battery has already been embedded into the idea.
Element proofing has already been taken care of.

What are you trying to do. And thats false that a magnet will make the clifford 210c fail. Nor tasering the car.
