What do you consider affordable? Are you looking for performance gains or just looks, aka rice factor?

Any header under $400 is just going to give you looks over to the stock H22 header. A tuned header that is purpose built for specific gains will cost ya. IMO if you just want to rice it up a $150 knock off is probably just as good as a $250-$300 one. The $300 one may last you a year longer.

*Edit*
Or you could do a search for topics already covering the H22 header. This is just one of the ones I found in doing a search for H22 header. Click & Read

so buy two crappy ones for the price of one good one and have x2 longer life, haha.

to the op: you shouldnt have to remove anything when doing your headers unless your doing turbo setup, but they still offer different style manifolds that you dont have to remove those componets. Thats how my f23 is at least.

Also im a hater,my f23 with headers exhaust was faster then the h22's with them from my experience......until i got to about 90 mph

if i were you get either apexi or bisimoto, greddy. and cheaper but still good dc sports. anything else is cheap like weaponr, nrg inovations brands like that don't test and make sure quality of products fitting and craftmanship.

SMSP, RMF, Hytech, etc are all quality headers. You get what you pay for.

i couldn't afford DC's at the time so i bought some from Megan Racing ... personally i think they're actually good [aside from they're cheapo gaskets] and they have longer runners than the DC's which gives your more top end power ... but it does take away from your low end power/torque ...

You're not going to get a new one, so good luck getting a used.

Those I mentioned are in the $1000+ group
