Default good painting books or dvds

i'm thinking about getting into painting cars. instead of asking alot of questions, can anyone suggest a good book or dvd that they've used or heard about that will give me the information that i need to understand the art of painting

why not take a class at a jc? better investment in my opinion, hands on learning

i graduated from wyotech collision and refinishing the taught alot but if ur looking for books or dvds go to tcpglobal.com they have a ton of stuff.

Not gonna tell you how to make a show car... but it has more than enough info for my daily...still not so sure I wanna paint it...but I sure will be doing my own body work. It will give you the basics and get ya going. Very good reading

thats a good book! it helps with a lot of the basics on DIY...if you PM me I might have some sites that can help...i must say its not as easy as it looks...i self learned and its cost me a lot of money...although I did learn on my own, even though i have a friend that paints himself which he gave me a free gun to do it...he saved me like $100 or $200...also saved me lots of money on body work and paint...just do a lot of reading before hand...there is a lot of good stuff on HT as well...have all meterials on hand and KNOW YOUR PAINTS thats key.

bought the how to paint your own car book, it has alot of good things on that book to get started...
