good painting books or dvds
i'm thinking about getting into painting cars. instead of asking alot of questions, can anyone suggest a good book or dvd that they've used or heard about that will give me the information that i need to understand the art of painting

Not gonna tell you how to make a show car... but it has more than enough info for my daily...still not so sure I wanna paint it...but I sure will be doing my own body work. It will give you the basics and get ya going. Very good reading

thats a good book! it helps with a lot of the basics on DIY...if you PM me I might have some sites that can help...i must say its not as easy as it looks...i self learned and its cost me a lot of money...although I did learn on my own, even though i have a friend that paints himself which he gave me a free gun to do it...he saved me like $100 or $200...also saved me lots of money on body work and paint...just do a lot of reading before hand...there is a lot of good stuff on HT as well...have all meterials on hand and KNOW YOUR PAINTS thats key.
