Default Accord coupe brake pads, needs replacement

Does anyone know if honda uses the same OEM brake pads on warranty repairs.

Reason being I took in my accord coupe 8k miles because I heard light squeaky noises coming from the brakes when lightly stopping. I took them in and they decided to just replace them with new pads. Now i noticed squeaky noises when breaking at 40mph+.

Is this normal, should I ask them again to replace them??

Yes any part that is replaced under warranty is replaced with OEM honda parts.

If you still having break concerns go back to the dealer and ask to take a ride with service manager or technician so they can verify the problem.

Like someone said earlier, you need to be break-in the pads. Otherwise, you can glaze the pads, which is most likely what happened in your case and is causing the squealing.

replace em with non honda pads. oem ones will start sticking and cause hwy brake shuddering. I bought some $30 autozone ones and it breaks just as good with no shuddering.

Worst advice ever. Aftermarket pads will DESTROY your rotors.
