Default water reserve bottle/cap

Hello,

i have a 97 civic ex, just wondering...
is my water reserves' cap supposed to be air tight? i think mines is not. the cap is really loose.

It shouldn't fall off, but it isn't air tight. The recovery bottle needs to breathe as the excess coolant enters it because of thermal expansion and then gets sucked back in as the engine cools.
