Default time to change pads? or is it something else?

hey guys,

im guessing i need new pads on my girls ex but its kinda odd. the brake sensor thingy only makes noice when shes backing up.. when its in forward it will make noice for about a 1/4 mile then its gone. with a slight noice once in a while on the road for about a second.. i just find it odd that its only making the noise in that manner.. the car is at 48k on its first pair of pads... so i know they gotta be replaced either way just asking to make sure its not something else since its odd...

also if anyone could suggest if the rotors should be resurfaced... there is absolutely no pulsating no vibration and no pull to one side.. other than the noise those breaks still feel as if they were new

replace the pads. youll know if the rotors need resurfaced when you do the job. just check for any scoring or grooves in the surface of the rotor. if their still smooth dont worry about it.
