Well I have an 07 civic EX coupe (FG1 5spd MT), and love it, but I am looking for more power. I don't have a ton of money, but enough to afford a swap. I don't really want to go through all the hassle of selling my car, buying a new one, selling all my parts, paying more on car payment, paying more on insurance, and other misc things. So I decided to come up with something else.. swapping my puny R18 motor with a k24 bottem and k20 top.

This is what I have come up with so far (I am not at my home computer so not everything is here)

-K24a2 bottem
-K20z1 Top
-k20z3 tranny (b.c it has lsd, and similar to the type-r tranny)
-kpro
-04 crv pass mounts
-02-06 oil pump

there is other stuff but I don't remember it all

What do you guys think? this will be going into the FG chassic.. How would I get the gauges to work? Would all the componets I have work together? Am I forgetting anything?

Please any questions you have please ask so I can figure out if I am missing anything, or there is something I don't understand

why not use the k24a2 head?

the k20a2 and k24a2 heads have alittle difference between the two

 

Should be k20z1 head even though you probally know what I ment.. Anyway yeah I was thinking going with the k20a2 head, or maybe just a straight k24a2 swap, but I'm not sure.. depends on money really.. the z1 and a2 heads arn't really that much different in price. I havn't really compared the full k24a2 motor pricing to the frank k20/k24 pricing.
