as it states im new to the forum,and i need you guys advice. i dont know much about hondas but i need your opinion. im in the process of buying a 88 crx si only problem is that the owner has stated is the alternator is not charging the battery. he said that he had it check and checked out good. mention also that it could be a bad ground or short? wat you guys think. for the price its too good to pass up. but i will if i cant solve this issue before buying. any help greatly appreciated! thanks

 

it could be a number of things. you'll have to find out yourself... but easy way to start... check the ground

 

from my personal experience i wouldn't mess with electrical issues. sometimes you can never track where the short is. i would check the grounds then get the alternator tested and if it wasnt either of those i would pass. there are alot of EF's out there =P Good luck on whatever you do
