Default steal shield remote starter

when i bought my car, it came with a remote starter but the previous owner doesn't use it, it's installed on the car, when i click the button, the lights blink but it won't start. idk if it's not working or i just can't figure how to use it right. my sister's car have a remote starter and working fine, i tried doing the same on mine but still doesn't work.
the remote starter's brand is steal shield, i did a little research about it and tried to find a manual, but no luck..

here's a pic of the starter.

thanks for future help.

What is the MM&Y of your car?
Is your car a standard or automatic?

What is the model number of the unit?
Are you sure it is a remote start and not just an alarm?

You will have to find the units "brain" and get a model number off it. 94

The model number for the system will be on the units "brain", you will need to find it.

Try this, if you have not already and because the car is a standard, when you come to a stop, keep foot on brake, place car in neutral, set hand brake, take foot off brake, turn ign. off, if engine keeps running do not touch the foot brake again and get out of car and close door, if engine stops running, [when you close the door] you are in "ready" mode, try remote start, press and release button 3, let me know if it works, if not find system brain and get model number. 94

That is not the model number, it is the FCC number.
Where did you find it? 94

I have a SS850 in a van I bought and it was not working I put a new battery in the remote (FOB) and it did nothing but it does light up now when I press the buttons. I have been driving it for two weeks and all of a sudden it would start beeping lights flashing and could not turn it off eventually it would stop on its own (the alarm or warning). So I located the module and found some fuses and removed them so it has stop. I would like to get it operational have looked on the net found the manufacturer in NZ and have not had a response as of yet. Would you know how to get this working again or should I scrap it?
