i took out my power steering and everything is out but except the powersteering hose...its the big hose that comes from behind the block and has a harness in pluged in back there. right now, i have the hose sitting in my engine bay and i want to take it out. i borrowed this pic from someone on ht so i hope they dont mind

I cut mine... But you could aways get a non power steering rack and put that in your car. It will turn better too...

 

don't cut it you'll regret it later...
since you have the power steering canister of just zip tie the hose to your power steering pump(if you still have it on) if not find something to zip tie it to(the power steering hose does not weigh much and not worth cutting).

 

i dont really want to cut it because i dont know if im gonna put the ps back in later down the road. does anyone kno how to take it out w/o cutting it? thanks.

yeah i was at a loss too...i didnt know how to remove it so i just cut it cuz i was sure i was never going to use it again.....but i still miss powa steering though..but not when i win. ahahahah!!

 

You have to get back there and unbolt it, quite simple actually.

 

if your planning on MAYBE putting the p/s back then i would just leave it

 

Just swap racks dude.

 

fold it over and zip tie it down below somewhere.
