hey guys im planning on getting another R

can any people who really know there Type R well can tell me if i buy this what am i going to need to make it run???




AS far as the Engine goes i dont know but it seems like the HEAD is missing also..
how much will it cost me if it is a head around?

First thing first. Is the frame straight?

 

by looking at the picture, i doubt that the frame is straight.

 

looks like a gsr motor

What are they asking for it?

 

guys i dont care about the frame

i just want to know if its worth getting

because its in COPART AUCTIONS

and it doesnt have the 5LUG suspension

also has GSR front back seats inside no type r

i would mainly get this for the engine or shell

so what do you think?

I dont think I would even buy that for $0.
Except for its wing it has already been stripped of everything that woulda made it an R. I wouldnt be suprised if that engine was already a siezed up POS too. Did read the link YUMMIES provided? Maybe you can contact the original owner and get a better idea.

 

I think you are better off waiting for a stripped to hell shell, or extreme high milage and or slight body damage..

 

It appears that you definitely don't know enough to take on a task like that, buy a running car that needs just a little bit less work.

A car like that belongs in the trash can.

 

Advice: Burn it.

to the original poster, you just missed a 97 that went up for sale, on friday, it had a jdm hid front, jdm recaros in red, all factory, clean and running, sold for $7300 salvage title though... but that was definitely worth it..

I did see that car but it was too far for me to check it out..... If I only knew that the engine and transmission were in great shape I would have jumped on it

How do you know that the car was running? Did you see it in person?
I never trust Copart when it comes to the damage description unless I see the car in person.

yes i already bought that and i won it for $7400

i have a car business so i really try to buy anything Type R or Civic Si related on Copart Auctions.

im in Chicago,Il it sucks because i paid $1200 on top of $7400 to get it shipped from Cali its still not here yet.

 

i was surfin through craiglist and ebay..look at what i found type-r.
