Default Power Steering and Speedometer

I need a power steering pump for my '97 H22A4. I don't know that much about cars, so I was wondering if a pump from a '95 H22A1 would work, or if it had to be specific. Also, my speedometer is off by 15 mph.. was thinking speed sensor in the tranny?? Any other suggestions of what it could be?

I am pretty sure the 95 and 97-01 are not compatible. If you need one for 97-01 I have an OEM one for sale cheap.

Power steering fluid runs through the speed sensor on the back side of the transmission. So if you power steering system has air in the lines or isn't working properly you might see the speed sensor being affected also.

i think it works more like this...the faster ur going the less power assist you get for steering. the fluid going through the speed sensor has nothing to do with your speedometer. for example i took out power steering therefore i have no fluid running through my speed sensor and my speedometer works fine. that doesnt mean the sensor isnt fouled causing a bad reading though. just a guess i could be wrong
