JDM non-HID --> OEM JDM HID
Could be a silly question but I got JDM headlights--non HID. I was thinking about selling my non-hid headlights for some oem HID headlights rather then buying some ebay kit--etc. If i do this changeover is all wiring within the car the same--essentially is it plug and play or do i have to re wire?
no there is some wiring that needs to be done
but its all worth it, i love my oem jdm hid's, they look amazing, light up everything on the road great and dont blind people somhow
do a search on here theres a diagram on how to do it

There is a diagram in my fog light thread.

The only thing that will change is the high beam will go to the brown connector instead of straight to the bulb. Other than that the wiring is exactly the same.

I have to agree... They are great!

Just a FYI, apparently JDM HID's use the same bowls as the s2k projectors.
S2K projector is still the widest brightest most intense HId projector around.
So you will really benefit from the real thing.

I'd have to see that to believe it! Every JDM HID front I have had behind me is ridiculous!
<pet peeve of facked up headlights!

Maybe from posters above...
However my school of thought is like this... unless your going to buy the OEM JDM HID headlights BRAND NEW... your talking about 8+ year old electronics. Ask around and find out how much it is to replace the OEM stuff when it burns out.
And for that reason only I went with NON-HID's and a kit. Same money in the end, but BRAND NEW electronics.
Just some food for thought.
