Default 6thgen accord anti-roll

hey everyone,
I have a 99 accord 4d 4-cyl lowered on ground countrol sleeves with tokicio illuminas, and i was thinking about getting an anti-roll setup. Can anyone help me.....should i get sway bar for front and rear or just one, strut bar for front or rear or both...............should i get both sway bars and strut bars. I am totally clueless at what to get. I want my car to roll smooth on turns as well as staright roads.

Start with a search, I think you'll find some good info.
I have ST sways on my car now. I put the rear on first and it had a much better feel turning and cornering. I then installed the front and lost some of that response, but it feels more planted on the freeway and in a straight line.

BTW im on GC'S and Koni's so its a pretty similar setup.

^^

To elaborate on what Cannon said, enlarging the rear bar increases oversteer, whereas enlarging the front increases understeer. You have to play with them for a bit to get it just perfect along with your springs and shock choices.

I'm trying to go with a fatter rear and keeping stock front, but we'll see how that goes.

Alot of people use the TL sway. I *believe all the 99-05 TL sways work, but the 99-03 work of course.

I'm CD chassis

I'm looking at fabbing up the 27mm Progress rear , but I'm afraid it'll be too big and I'll need a front upgrade too, but I can't find a medium sized front

Oops, forgot. GL with that, I have no valuble input for your gen
Id think finding parts would be 10x easier for your chassis though, go figure

On my 6th gen I have Sportlines, Illuminas, Eibach front and rear sways, and a cheap front upper strut bar.

I don't take much stock in the strut bar, as I couldn't tell a difference. I just figure it's better than nothing, and it makes for a great mounting place for engine gadgets.

Anyway, I installed both front and rear sways at the same time, so I can't comment on front vs rear. However, my impression of them installed together is a positive one. When taking a sweeping turn at high speed (ie entrance ramp @ ~60mph), it has the perfect feel.

Where FWD cars tend to oversteer (plow through the turn) and RWD cars will oversteer (sling the rear out), my car has a subtle balance through the turn. So long as I'm on the throttle, it pulls into the turn with very very little sign of understeer, but as I let out of the throttle the rear will begin to smoothly scoot out. So I find that I can gradually accelerate through the turn an exit smoothly. I just have to be careful about decreasing radius turns, and stopping fast is not an option unless I want to do a cool 360 slide.

CLIFFS: Both front and rear Eibach sway bars. Car is very neutral and predictable around corners. Virtually no understeer, with a hint of oversteer when deceling around turns.

so should i get strut bars or sway bars? or are they any different? also... is there anything i can do to suspension where i stop the impact of the bounce on the driver and passengers. Both my struts and springs are fine. Is there any damper kits i can use? I have tokicio illuminas with eibach ground countrol sleeves.

If you don't like the way your somewhat stiff suspension hits now, then your really not going to like it if you go and stiffen up the chassis with a set of strut bars and stiffer stabilizer bars.

The OEM setup was the best your going to get for ride comfort. so I guess you'll have to find some springs in between what you have now and OEM. Maybe try playing with the adjustable dampener. See if that helps any. I'm no pro but I would think the majority of the problem lies in your spring rate and how much you have your setup lowered.

How low is it? From what I've heard the Tokico Illumina's don't respond well to anything lower than a 1.5-1.75" drop.
