o2 sensor/ emissions
i took my car to get inspected the other day and it failed emissions. my guy said it was running very rich and blowing black smoke and said most likely it was the o2 sensor. i had one lying around from a civic so i brought it to him and he said he thought they were different but would give it a shot anyways. dunno if this makes a difference but the wires were the same color. anyways he put the sensor in and it passed emissions. im wondering if the civic o2 sensor is different than my prelude sensor and will it have any effects on the preformance of the engine? thanks guys
since you didn't specify what vehicles you have/used, here's the link to look it up yourself.

my car is a 93 prelude h23. i looked on the site...the universial o2 is the same part number but the "super class" o2 sensors are different. i just drove my car around for about 10-15 minutes with the civic o2 sensor and it seemed ok. so we shall see what happens i guess
