Default no mph's and no v-tec help

so i changed the clutch in this guys 00 type r and i test drove it and it cracked v tec and the mph gauge worked and the odometer worked and now he says they dont work idk whats going on oh and he has this stupind *** switch in his car for the alternator so he can turn it off or on while hes "racing" could that be it? n e ways can someone help me out here i checked all my grounds and everything and its all good could it be a fuse or a relay lmk please

Vehicle speed sensor... VTEC will not engage if it is bad.. its an easy fix !

It is on the top of the transmission if u look down from the tb area...

I have no clue if it works or doesn't...

Look at it before you buy a new one... I just changed my clutch and the same thing happened to me. Took the VSS back out and saw that it was really corroded so I cleaned it off and it's good a new.

Un plug... check the connectors for corrosion... FIRST.

Then if you deem it's bad, then replace.
