Default swapping 6 disc pilot into a 98 civic

Anyone know if this can be done? Looks like it would replace the tape and just connect the wire to the head unit.

Do you mean a Honda Pilot 6 disc in a 98 Civic? 03 was the first year of the Pilot, they went from a 8 pin round "DIN" plug to to a 14 pin square plug in mid 98, so it would depend on it being a true 98 or a 99. Best thing to do is check the plugs, you may be in luck. BTW, the din is black and the square 14 pin is blue.

Hope that helps

I have yet to check the plugs. Can i buy an adapter to make them work? I would only like to take the dash apart once if possible since I have no clue what I would be doing. Do you know what the pilot plug is? Basically I am looking to either add a cd player or swap the head unit to one that has a cd unit on it but can still use the tape deck if possible. I have seen some head units that have the cd deck but no button to swap to tape deck and then there are others that still have the button. I am just trying to make this as painless as possible since I am new at this.
