Tell me what you think! Plus and minus of the S2000 as a DD? Frequent and notorious problems? Things to watch out for? Etc. INFORM ME GUYS!

By the way... The car is an 01 with 48000 miles. Bone stock.

I drive mine as a daily driver. I have seen S2ks with 150,000+ miles on them.

Its a Honda, it will run forever

I haven't heard much of people driving their S2k's in snow. I know that your in oregon too.

 

be prepared not to have any room for anything haha

 

I recommend taking a gander at muz's s2000 accessories to maximize space in the small car.

 

anything is an upgrade from that ugly egg your driving

 

i would recomend keeping ur ap3 and saving more money so i can have both that way your ep3 can stay ur dd

I agree. I cannot really see an S2k as a daily driver. I know people do it, but I am sure glad I waited to make it a weekend ride.

i dissagree. I have a beater but when i go out to the garage in the morning i end up hopping in the s2000. I love the car too much. I can only go maybe 3 days without driving it

 

i DD mine - wouldn't have it any other way... i'd rather have a beater to use only when i have to (carrying large loads, towing etc. etc.)

 

yeah, thats pretty much i am leaning towards...i will drive my beater in the snow and when i have to carry **** and people. I used to drive my beater all the time but it gets old driving a piece of **** everyday.

 

Sorry guys but I am not one to drop X amount of dollars on a car so I can drive it nights and weekends. Not practicle for me.


And it snows barely here... I can get chains.

 

i would go test one then and see if you could see yourself daily driving the car.

 

square_1, any particular reason for getting rid of the EP ? I've been wanting an EP for sometime but I've also been considering an S.

Pretty much what I do. I only have a 4 mile drive to work though so DD it isn't a huge deal.

just do it. I dont daily mine. but i have 2 beaters to drive... M coupe and a dbl cab tacoma to haul the S.

 

i daily drive mine and there is a few things ive noticed.

1.)not much room at all. i can fit a fully loaded army duffel bag and 1 normal backpack in the trunk and thats it!! seriously

2.) im 6'1" and getting in and out is tricky. but head room is no problem but its the side to side motion thats cramped.

3.) i can recline the seat just enough to be comfortable while driving and thats it.

4.) with soft top there is a lot of blind spots on your back corners. just be careful while merging and youl be fine. a oem hardtop will offer a lot more visability.

other than that i love driving it, great fun!!!!

I DD mines too but if I could do it again i would have held out for another 6montsh so I could afford a beaterand s2k
