speedo cable broke, dragging on ground
As the title says, I was driving home on the highway when my speedometer stoped working. Got home and looked under the car and found to my dismay that the cable was draging underneth my car, out of the sheath. followed the cable and the sheath looks like it broke were it connects into the slot. looking at some past froums, is it as simple as picking up a new cable and sheath and installing it, or is there more to worry about? what cars can I pull a cable out of and and put in mine, on a student budget. thanks
the cable and sheath are one unit. go to a junk yard get one from a 88-91 crx or civic any model will work.
youll have to remove your gauge cluster and cluster hood.
remove old broken cabel it simply runs threw the fire wall
replace with a new one
