Default Sparco steering wheel install

Does the Sparco hub adapter sit on top of the black and white SRS dial (see pic below) or does this dial need to be removed?

Is there an easy way to preserve the wiring if the dial is removed? Is it possible to just unplug the wires from the dial or do they need to be cut?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Is there any way to retain the horn, or does it need to be re-wired separately? (I saw the how-to for the NRG hub, but was hoping for more of a "stock" solution)

I had a non-SRS hub on my car when I got it. It sat a lot farther back, and I'm sure with that hub it would allow you to run a wire to hook up the horn. I'll have to ask my friend what he's got, as he's using a Personal wheel, and the horn is hooked up. Its an NRG hub though I believe.

I've got this same setup and installed it retaining the horn is fairly easy... but it isn't really a "stock" solution.

i used this write up.

not sure if it really applies to what you are trying to do though.

I was incorrect, my friend has a Momo hub, with a Works Bell adapter.

You should be able to with the way described above. the only diff is you will have 2 horn buttons instead of 1. I hope it works for you because 'I hope to be in your same postition someday soon.

Yes you need to remove that and you just unplug it from under the dash.

Secondly I have a sparco steering wheel and a quick release and my horn works beautifully. It can be done. The pen clip method like shown in the pic above is more or less what I did.
