Default S2000 prices!!! Please help! New S2000 buyer. :)

I am thinking of trading in my 03 Civic Si for an AP1 S2000. What prices these going for with what mileage.

This one I am looking at is an 01 with 40000 miles. Dealer is asking 18900 buck I know based on the 11000 trade in I can talk that down a lot. My friend just picked up an 07 350Z for 26K haha.

Any ideas on an offer? It's clean and stock with some interior wear.

Better to go private seller?

Any potential problems?

i personally think an 01 with 40000 for almost 19 grand is WAY too much

I am offering like 14 or 15? Sound pretty decent? It is in good condition. Has a factory aero kit which I dunno if I can remove and sell?

That is way too much! you can pick up an 04 / 05 with similar mileage for around that price, maybe a little more if you look around.

14/15 sounds much more reasonable .. maybe even start off as low as 13 and work your way up

Oh my goodness... dealers asking this much really gets my blood boiling.

I would not pay more than 13k for an 00 or 01. This is SoCal price... which is supposedly higher than other parts of the country.

There are several low milage AP1's that can be had for 15k price range. Mid mileage you can get around $13k or lower.

I got my 82k mile AP1 ('00) for $11 with a clean title, a new clutch, and a new top. Look around, the deals are out there. Just don't get a beat one. Check for Honda S2000 on eBay and Craigslist.
