Trade in/ Private Party Value...?
I know these questions come up all the time but I don't trust KBB.com at all! What are realistic sale prices of these cars? Realistic trade in values?
My car is an 03 Civic Si. 63000 miles. Very clean. All tasteful brand name mods (koni, aem, magnaflow). Interior and seats are very clean. All stock exterior (no wheels, etc) Car runs great and gets 30 MPG city/highway if i drive nice.
What you guys think?

traditionally NADA will be higher, so look that up as well and take the average of the two. But IMO take it back to stock and sell those items for $$ and go to the stripper club (or save it)
Yes, put it back to as stock as possible.
kbb.com is decently accurate, but you'll definitely get a more favorable value if you sell instead of trade. Stealerships try to rape you. Ironically though, non-Honda/Acura dealers tend to give better trade-in values than actual Honda/Acura dealers, at least in my area.

I don't have the stock stuff. Otherwise I would do that. The guy at the dealer I am working with already told me I was lucky to be driving a honda cause american cars aren't worth crap right now. Haha. KBB just always seems REALLY low compared to what stuff is going for. which works for and against me too...
What prices are you guys seeing though?

</TD></TR></TABLE>I think you should put back to stock, sell it for KBB/NADA value and part out the aftermarket stuff for whatever you can. That's the best scenario for you to make the most money.

As you probably know, the online estimators (KBB, Edmunds, etc.) reflect what cars have sold for and recent bids at automobile auctions. With the EP3, those estimates vary wildly because so few are being sold at any given time. Also, there probably aren't more than a handful where you live, so whoever gives you a "market" price is really betting a hunch.
I will join the chorus of voices telling you to work at replacing the aftermarket equipment. Most EP3 buyers aren't gearheads, and IMHO the non-HMC gear says "I dogged this car and now I want to unload it <U>on you</U>!"
I'd go with your instincts: clean it up (can't stress that enough) and sell it as an "economy car." Price it at or slightly above the retail price for a perfect EX and see how many Oregonians agree with you.

The problem I have ZERO of the stock parts. I might have some friends with more stock EP3s that might be willing to purchase my parts for cheap + their stock parts though.
when i got my loan they said use nada values but kbb was right on with theirs. i think 10.5 for your car is not a bad price to ask. They seem to depreciate faster than i thought. Is it really worth selling though? New car means new plates/tags etc.....
