Only a few times have I had an issue with 2nd but that's usually when I'm driving a bit faster than I should be but 3rd gear there is a TSB out it is stickied at the top of the topic page..It feels like when I put it into 3rd like it can go further so I have to pull it out and put it back in and then it works..but I've done this as much as like 10 times for one shift..take it to your dealer!

The isn't (when used correctly) meant to symbolize something funny. It is meant to symbolize exhaustion or fainting (from a surprise maybe). So...he used it wrongly, but if you use it when you think something is funny, so do you.

So why do the guys in GDD forum only use it when something is "fall on the floor" funny??

Not only that....before this smilie was installed on H-T they would write "*thud*" just like that in letter form when something was really funny.

Never quite understood it....but I figured that's what it meant.

IDK...that makes sense though too. But when I first saw it, I took it to symbolize exhaustion and I've seen people use it that way, so I figured I was correct. LOL.

I always took it to mean that something was annoying.

"So my girl totalled my car last night.. "
"So I got caught goin 111 in a 65... "

I have this problem with 2nd. It only happens when shifting into 2nd at high RPM's. I read in another forums it could be cause by a stretched shifter cable. I have not confirmed this.

I too experience this from time to time. Even with my Motul Syn. Trans Fluid it still happens every so often. But I usually only hear of the "Third Gear Issue". Does this same fix that some dealerships are offering fix both issues, Second and Third??
Oh and my FG is an 06.

the 08 si's the transmissions r being recalled because 3rd and 4th gears r going out. mines gone and i had to order another transmission. it could be the same with yours.

Is it actually a recall, or a tsb?

As Mraudio13 said 2nd grinds at high RPMS. I have an 06 Si and I have this problem. This is why I hate going to the track because it always happens there

I have a problem going into second sometimes and high RPMS. I always thought it was just me ripping off the clutch before I had it fully in gear but now will the responses here I think I should be checking that out...Oh and mine is an 08 with the same problem

What is your VIN? It's probably just you (and not your car) but if you pm me your VIN, I'll let you know for sure.

ur grinding 2nd cause your trying to shift quicker than ur feet can press the clutch
next time u hit vtec in first concentrate on hittin the clutch instead of quick shiftin

I disagree with this. I know I am pushing the clutch in all the way. It only happens in 2nd.

Same with me. I am sure I have the clutch all the way in then I try and shift hard and all you hear is grinding. I even had my 2nd replaced with my 3rd. I will eventually buy a new trans. in the future.
