mobil 1 syn oil change

for some reason my vtec doesn't kick in till after 6000rpm and it dosen't feel as aggressive as when i was using conv oil? but i was able to redline my car alot easier.

Mobil 1 is fine....
is all of your oil in? did you check after the the ride?
RedLine is a better product, but Mobil is not bad at all >> it's better than 90% of the other oils out there.

Some body please get some results cause i don't wanna put my mobil 1 oil in if taht happens

i picked up a bottle of Mobil One at the AutoZone yesterday... and put it back on the shelf! (That was also a useless, non helpful statement!)
I'm positive that changing oil has absolutely nothing to do with vtec engagement or anything else like that. Make sure the engine was warmed up, make sure all your nuts and bolts (and twig and berries) are on tight, and make sure all other variables are the same before you blame the new oil.
That said... Mobil One 5w-30 burns WAY too much.

What weight of oil did you use before?
5w30 may be too thin. (I am weary of using it, bu tI live in TX)
I'll bet it's the weight change. . . . .

There is something else going in here - it is not the Mobil 1 oil...

Edit: 5W30, 10W30, either of them is fine, it won't affect your car at all.

hmm, i changed to mobil 1 at 12,000 miles and have been using it ever since (33000 miles on car now) i noticed it burns alot ever since i put it in, and i dunt know if its me, but it does make a difference if your low on oil! so yah, so all in all, i think mobil 1 is fine
I posted this before but I changed my oil to Mobil 1 syn. from conventional And I have found that I can drive 60-90 miles farther on a tank of gas. I know this because I take very long cross country trips (750 miles same route) and since the oil brand change I can skip the gas stations I always stop at. I’m not saying this newfound mileage was due to the new oil. Maybe something was adjusted. Maybe the gas stations moved closer
but that is my experience.

Perhaps you just think your crossover is happening later than usual. Kinda like when I wash & wax my car it just feel faster than when it's dirty...
