i've wondered that myself, i don't think Senna was into bikes, and he never drove for Ferrari (i don't think) in F1. i do remember reading Claudio Castiglioni (creator of the Senna MV Agusta F4 750) was close friends with Ayrton and released the bike in his name as a tribute. don't know the reasoning with Ducati's model.
