Default metal head gasket and shaved head plus cams

i have a h22a4 motor in my prelude and am wanting to go NA with it. i want to increase the compression and get some nice raw (safe/ moderatly trouble free) power out of it. i saw an add for a thin metal head gasket claiming to increase compression by .5 and adding 19 whp on a stock h22 motor, 1st i was wondering if this sounds a little farfetched to you or not... my idea was to get this gasket and shave my head (along with port and polish of course), i dont know maybe 2mm or so, and then get stage 2 bc cams. now my question is 1st does anyone think with a thinner head gasket and a shaved head combined with larger cams my valves would hit my piston at all? are there any other precautions i should take when i go to go do this? also have you ever heard of anybody doing this on this motor befor? do you think my pistons can handle it (right now stock compression is 10:1 but the type s prelude is 11:1 and comes with forged pistons)?
any help you can send my way would be greatly appreciated.

One of the things to consider is that a much thinner head gasket will most likely change your cam timing, meaning you'll have to get adjustable cam gears. And because you're OBD2, you'll have to convert to an OBD1 distributor to use those adjustable cam gears. I can't speak personally about whether you'll have interference, but I kind of doubt it.

Before you think about doing any machining, do more research and find out how much material will be needed to bump compression to where you want it, 2mm may seem like a small amount, but as far as the combustion chamber is concerned, it is HUGE. A change like that WILL cause interference with the valves. I would recommend either type S pistons, or Mahle pistons if you are looking for higher compression.
If you do your research you will find that this law holds true: Cheap, fast or reliable. You can only have two.
