Nothing can make me stop riding...well maybe an ear infection
So I have all the time in the world at the moment due to being laid off. Talk about time to hit the beach, go on a cross country cruise or something of that nature. Then about 20 days ago my ear hurt and I lost total balance. I let it go not thinking about it. Then everything started to be amplified! Noises like the phone hurt, dogs barking from a distance, to my girlfriends laughter. It went away...
Then it happened again.
And again....yea I hate admitting it but
then again..
I didn't ride because when it happened again and at that moment I was on my bike I'd be in a world of ****.
Then I finally got off my *** to find out I have an inner ear infection. First words out of his mouth when he took the first glimpse "yea that had to hurt because I can see it from here".
Now stuck taking meds and decongestant pills to get the water out on both sides and clearing up the drum. Doc says not to ride for at least another 2 months....Talk about being grounded. So instead of a pulling back on the throttle, I'm popping penicillin. I guess it could be worse could have lost my hearing.
So if your riding right now i totally envy you.

Two months? Jesus, that better be one hell of an ear infection. When I smoked cigarettes I would get ear infections on a pretty regular basis. I had infections in both ears, my tonsils, and a cyst on the back of my ear- all at the same time - at it didn't take more then two weeks to clear up.
I think your doctor is full of it.
