I am building my 92 Hatch and i want to get some of ya'lls oppinions on which coilovers to go with....
Im not trying to spend a fortune..So I can't decide between the D2 sport & Tien Basics
D2-basically just because the purple would look hot with my pink car....
-Havent heard much about them at all...so i dont know if they're good or not..Would like knowledge on them.
Tien-basically because i have heard good things and i know the brand
Help me please...Im begining to hurt my brain going back and forth.

I've had d2 coilovers and all I gotta say is that it made my back hurt. That's just my opinion. Other people liked them but I personally didn't enjoy it cause the roads I were on were horrible. Try looking into ground control and koni's or PIC?
I wouldn't recommend a coilover setup other than Koni Yellows with Ground Control sleeves, (OTS rates) depending on what you plan on doing with the car, (commuting to and from school, daily driving, autox, track events, etc?).
Stay away from all the cheapo brand-x Taiwanese flashy colored jdm labeled "full coilovers"...they are all underdampened poop sticks with harsh spring rates and will end up blowing out in a few months.
Here is what I send to everybody who asks about my setup and where to get it.
Koni Yellow Sports: http://www.hondamarketplace.co...35513
$450 shipped
Ground Control Custom Rate Coilovers: http://www.hondamarketplace.co...69581
$315 shipped
My rates are 450 front & 400 rear.
^^^ vtecvoodoo ^^^ also sells the upper mounts for $120 a pair, (you really only need the front pair).

Tein basics and D2 coilovers are intended for completely different purposes.
What are you "building a '92 hatch" for? How much do you have to spend?

What bearing does that have on this discussion?
Prices are going up across the board for everything. Material costs are higher for quality parts, and the US dollar value isn't what it used to be compared to foreign currencies in countries where many products are made. It's called inflation.
Wait around a while and you'll see prices increasing for various other damper brands as well.

chill out. this is a public forum for discussion. that is what we are doing. dont get sassy, you are not the only person that understands the word inflation.
there was talk about the koni and gc setup and i am responding to that comment. reading is fundamental.
to the OP, i have not used the d2's before but i have installed most of the tein products and they performed well and have a good ride. I dont know if you care but you can go very low with teins as well. to some its very important.

Thanks Guys for all you imput!!
My build is going to be mainly my weekend car, car to take to meets and hang out at the track and car shows. Im not planning on doing any sort of race or track events. Im still learning to drive the car, its my first car with a clutch, and i have the coordination of a freekin elephant.
Basically Im going for looks and smoother ride. Im not 16 anymore and when you get old, things start to hurt more, so the back cant handle a rough ride. Like when you go over an bump and the car is still bouncing a half a mile down the damn road...Eff that! LoL
Im not trying to pay out the *** for something, because as we all know money is tight, but i figure i will be spending between $800-1000.
