BB6 Oil Filter Question
OOOOOOOOOOOOOk.
So this may be a already answered question or just a downright nublet question but here it goes.
Whats a better oil filter? The S2000 FRAM oil Filter....or a HAMP oil filter? I bought a normal 97 lude FRAM filter last time and I had just put my s2 intake manifold and it was A BITCH putting it in. They basically scrape against each other....but thats beside the point. Which would be an overall better oil filter and why?

The S2000 filter is made by Toyo Roki. The filter used by all other models is the one that's made by Fram. The S2000 filter is good, and comparable to the Hamp. I'd buy either one, whichever is cheaper.
I'm pretty sure there are also two different sizes of filter, which could explain your clearance problem. If you want to be stupid and waste money like I did, you can get the Mugen one
Is there a significant difference when using the S2K filter? I just wanted to know if anyone actually noticed a difference...
Will any year S2K fit on the BB6? Any clearance issues especially on the SH models?

There shouldn't be any clearance as there's plenty of room with the stock manifold. The main difference is in the quality of the element and end caps. From what has been posted in the past, the current filter that Honda uses across the lineup (other than the S2k) is dismally poor in quality.
False information. The current filters honda uses are made by filtech inc. Fram no longer makes honda's oil filters. If you wanna pay more buy a s2000 filter, but the only benefit you will get is it will be easier to walk because your wallet is lighter. Stick with oem honda filter 15400-PLM -A02. 5-8 bucks depending on how nice the dealer is.
Whether or not its a depot thing, but working for a honda dealership in parts for the past 4 years, we get nothing but filtech filters from our jersey depot. So unless the jersey depot has metric asston of left over filtech filters(we order about 6 cases a week 30 being in a case) im pretty sure honda does no longer use fram. But i dont work for corporate, im just a parts lacky.

I was aware of the fram filters but never heard anything bad about the bosch filters. I think i remember them getting a decent review but i could be wrong.

Yea never really heard of anyone using a bosch filter on their ludes....mostly those frams and oems. Im leaning towards the Hamp but want to see if anyone has used it or has more info on it...
hamp is honda's upgraded filter. i dont know too much about it, but you can't go wrong with it. i know fram is **** it only uses i think 13 plies of paper while just about every filter on the market is roughly 100. I HIGHLY doubt fram makes honda's filters, they are so different its ridic.
