Default debadging

Has anyone debadged a 6th gen before? I want to do it, but I need to know whether my badges/emblems are on with adheisive or with pins in the trunk.
If they're held on with adheisive, it shouldnt be a problem.. I just need to know.

*there should be a write-up on this

I haven't experienced a single car with holes in the trunk yet, the Accord emblem should be just adhesive. The H emblem though has holes.

1. I used a small flathead screwdriver wrapped in a towel to pry the Accord and LX badge off. BE CAREFUL NOT TO STICK THE SCREWDRIVER THROUGH THE TOWEL! IT WILL SCRATCH YOUR PAINT!

2. Get goof off/ goo gone, put all over the adhesive from the badges and scrub the **** out of it with a dish sponge.

3. It most likely WONT come off with just that, so go to the carwash and use the pressure washer to get the leftover stuff off. You will need to do the goof off/ pressure washing a few times. Let the car sit in the sun if possible to help dry up the adhesive.

Once the glue is finally off, put some wax over the area and admire your freshly de badged trunk.

As far as the "H" badge goes, there are two holes that will be on the trunk but you can buy plugs to fill them so water wont get inside. Im not positive where to buy them, just look around. I think it looks good with just the H leftover though.

Hope this helps!

Spray Nine will remove all the glue remnants with very limited scrubbing. Remove the name plate then Spray the remaining glue. Let it sit for a few minutes. Spray some more on and you should be able to easily scrub it off with a soft cloth. Make sure to wash, rinse and wax the area after using spray nine. If you can, try not to use a dish sponge on your paint.

Bleh, I don't like any of these suggestions

Take a blow dryer and heat the badge for at least 10-15 minutes (until you can wiggle the whole thing)

Take fishing line and in a sawing motion go at it between the emblem and the car (ie saw through the adhesive)

Remove the remnants with 97+% Rubbing Alcohol and Goo Gone and then wash it afterwards

I heated the emblem and pulled it off with no problem. I used goof off to get all the adheisive off..Its mainly all gone. Very tiny amount of paint removal. My problem is that there is a color difference between where the ACCORD badge sat, and the rest of the body. I waxed the area thouroughly. How do I get the paint to blend together?

Go to Lowes, to their cleaning chemical aisle. They have air fresheners mixed in with them in that aisle too. Find a small 5-6 inch tall spray bottle, made my california scents, its either in a soft yellow or very soft baby blue bottle. That is by far the best adhesive and double sided tape remover you will ever encounter in your life, and it smells good.

If you'd read the post, you'd realize that I don't need help removing the adheisive. There is a major color difference between the body & where it said Accord. I need to know how to blend the paint.

Kinda what you have to deal with honestly. You could try wetsanding it a bit and you could try clay bar.

But it's tough when that area has been covered for 10 years (so no sun damage)

White car for the win! I didn't have any noticeable coulour difference. After I used the Mothers three step car polish kit it looked like nothing was ever there. You could try a buff and polish kit to see if you can bring back some of the luster to your original pint. But like MuffinMan said, it's hard to 100% restore 10 years of the sun F#@k'n with your paint. Only other way would be too paint the back side of your deck lid. Try to match the existing faded paint and feather it in?????
