f22b1 to a b20a1
Stupid question PPL MY boss just got two b20a1 I have a 95 accord ex How much of a bitch would it be to put the motor in it and would it be worth my time and money??????
its not worth it ... your better off with a h22 ... all these big displacement 4 cyl. motors all pretty much have all their hp and torque in the same ball park and really isn't worth the swap unless your looking for uniqueness ... well here's some info on that motor

My bad. I didnt know much about these motors when I posted before. My brother has a 91 Prelude Si, and it does pull a WHOLE LOT faster than my Accord. It is way more fun to drive. He can rev up to redline all day long, while my motor sound like I am forcing it to go past 3,500 RPM. I do love Prelude motors for the torque curve. The torque starts high and just goes straight across the RPM range pretty consistent.
Prelude motors have WAAAAY shorter lifespan than Accord motors though. I guess it would be better with the Accord tranny, but you might not get the same power from the motor with the longer gear ratio in the Accord. When I am going 70MPH, my RPM is barely above 2k RPM in 5th gear. When my brother is going 70MPH, his prelude tachometer is over 4k RPM. From the math, it can easily be seen that his motor has to spin twice the amount of times mine spins to go the same distance, so its obvious why the lifespan is much shorter. Prelude motors also burn a WHOLE LOT of oil. Recently, he seem to be burning 1 quart of oil every 500 miles. There are practically no Prelude motors which does not burn oil, it is just a matter of how much oil they burn. Some burn 1 quart every oil change, and some burn less.
A H22a will make your Accord VERY fun to drive, but they do set you back quite a penny compared to other motors.
These are the things I take into consideration because I want to increase the longevity of my Accord. If you want to know how the motor feels, go test drive a Prelude with that motor.

dual cam motors engage vtec alot harder than single cams ... stock that is ... my apex-i neo woke my f23 up ... i set it a 3500 rpm ... im still trying to see what my current setup will do up against a stock dual cams ... civic si ... integra gsr .. prelude hs ... i dont wanna go looking for a race but nobody wants to play with me either ... my car is not intimidating at all it looks stock
... maybe thats the problem

OK I am stupid I guess I have never seen a dohc f22b
I really do not want to put a h22 in my accord just because everyone and there brothers are I know they are great motors... but I want to be diffrent and reallly can't afford k20 LOL
my h22 in my accord doesnt burn oil... the only thing I burn is gas... lol it eats gas like there's no tomorrow... but it's alot of fun... vtec is intense! it's so much louder in h22 than compared to like a b16 or lsvtec...
though I only wish my car wasnt so chunky lol so I could be lots faster..

I know. I once asked on the Prelude section and on the Integra section why does the Vtec punch so hard on the Prelude as compared to the vtec in other motors. The integra people all said that only reason you would feel a big punch is if it is not tuned correctly to cross over at the right time to make it virtually seamless. I dont care about all of that, when vtec kicks in on the H22A, it leaves a HUGE permanent smirk on your face.
