Default AT shift linkage broken, stuck in park, how do I unlock the wheels?

I have a 97 Civic HX (CVT transmission). My shifter was starting to get very stiff to pull through the gears for a while (I really needed to get the tranny rebuilt after 200k miles). So as I was pulling it from park into drive, it all of a sudden became extremely easy to move back and forth. Now the car is just permanently stuck in park it seems. I think my shift linkage between the shifter and the transmission is broken. For now, I just want to know how I can disengage the wheels from the transmission so that it can roll freely to make it easier to tow somewhere else. I have tried a lot of searching, but can't quite seem to find anything.

Thanks,
Chris

well if they pick up the front end it wont matter that the front wheels are locked, they do it all the time.
that being said if its anything like an auto tranny shifter, just find the part of the shift linkage thats still attached and jerk it off until the wheels move free
Edit: Wow this is from 08 i'd say he isn't coming back
