4dr (lx) EXHAUST
I have searched!
I just bought a 91 LX winter beater with no exhaust. I know I can make my own (or have a shop do it), most likely I will but for purpose of conversation and more options. What would make a better custom fab?
1.DA catback
2.Hatch catback
3.CRX catback
I know for each the mid pipe must be extended to fit a 4dr?
Which is the closest to a 4dr fitment? Also I kinda want a 2-2.5 piping, for look and sound.
After looking on the bay for the cheapest cat back its looking like DA are the cheapest.
Please add insights to personal experieces / thoughts? Again I am not going for the highest performance just some thing eazy and want more options before I go raiding muffler shops and piecing together or have a shop make me some megnaflow.
Also to extend I am thinking about cutting off the adapter to the cat from the mid pipe, Adding in a small section of cheap flex and clapping it to the mid pipe and cat adapter....

yeah i just bought a new tanabe exhaust from a CRX and i didn't even realize that the mid pipe had to be extended. ha whoops.
but i would say just make your own, it will be a lot better, and you'll like it more.
you can use pretty much any size piping you want. so get it done
