Driveshaft replacement
Help
Started with a brake noise in the right front. Ripped it down and found right front brakes gone, rotor scored bad and outer CV boot split.
Since I am going to split the hub I though I would change the whole shaft (158K on car).
Does the shaft seperate fairly easy on the transaxle side? I don't want get into the tranny.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanx
TJ

A pry bar between the transmission and the inner CV joint. A light push/pull on the pry bar and it should pop right out. Try to get the pry bar tip in as close to the spline as possible to avoid any sort of side loading/binding.
