94 VTEC Accord with low idle Anyone help....please.
I have an automatic Accord Wagon with the VTEC. Since my rear motor mount was changed, the idle has been too low. In drive at a light or stopsign, the idle goes down to around 400 rpms, causing the motor to shake the whole car. IN Park, occasionaly,it is where it should be around 750-800,but most the time, its down around 400 rpms there too, causing the motor to shake the car. I have no check engine light on at any time. I took it to the local Honda dealer, and they could not find the problem. They suggest cleaning the sensor on the back on the intake, and I did that, cleaning the screen and all,and the idle is still too low. All the motor mounts have been replaced within the last month. The oil has been changed recently, and the coolant is full. Any help is appreciatted.
You may have a leak. So you say you cleaned the IACV? If you were to turn on your car and let it idle will it just die on you? Maybe a bad map sensor? Anyone else could verify this?
No,it wont die,but once it gets a bit warm, the rpms creap down into the 400 rpm range. Which causes the motor to vibrate, shaking the whole car. The car dies if you unplug the map sensor,so i assumed that was good.
