Default Looking to buy a 98 EX. need advice

I found a 98 EX for sale. 136k on the clock, coupe, v6, looks really clean, second owner, hes asking 5500. just wanna know if your seeing price wise on these. kbb is around 4800. thnx

make sure it has had the recals done on it. the auto trannys in thoes cars ARE KNOWN FOR FAILUR so be carful, the price isint to bad, i picked up a 1998 accord 5 speed with 114,00 on the clock with no rust for 4800 with tax. onlu thing wrong with the car is the drivers side front door is a little banged up

even if it was 3000 i wouldnt do it. my friends v6 tranny just went out. it cost 2000 because the extended warranty ran out

Ya defiantly research it a little more. Trannys are bad on those auto v6... 98 is the first year that body style came out so it def is gonna have a faulty tranny. Not bad asking price for what the car is though if its clean.

ok so he hasn't had the timing belt or water pump done yet plus the tranny issues...i might have to hold off on this one.

Def need the timing belt and water pump done. $750 job here in ny at the dealer...better use oem parts on a honda.

Also check the egr valve ask him about that and the fuel pump and alternator. they had bad ones in the 98's
