I am comtemplating replacing my ITR stock rotors with aftermarket ones. But i want my aftermarket rotors to be lighter than the stock ITR's ones. I am currently looking at rotors made buy a company called "the brakeman"..they also make the Pinnacle braking system for S2000's..and I have seen these in person, top notch. I am just looking for alternatives to stock rotors...so if anyone has or experienced aftermarket brake rotors that are superior to stock ones..please let me know..thank you!!
im selling my 11.75 inch fastbrakes kit for 500 + shipping. Has big *** rotors and 4 piston calipers. The price of everything in the fastbrakes kit im selling is the same as two stoptech rotors for an ITR.
EDIT, pic of rotor here. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=231695

So these will fit on stock ITR wheels?..I noticed you shaved off quite a bit of material off the calipers...and the calipers are aluminum right?..I have to think about this...sounds like a steal!! if you could email me some clearer pics, that might seal the deal.....but 7 pounds each side..about how much do the rotors wiegh?

WOW...the ITR is the one on the left right?...awesome.. as for the 7 pounds, I think he meant the entire assembly shaves off 7 pounds versus the stock ITR one.

Wow..how much did that cost? I just basically want a lighter aftermarket rotor that works either just as good or better than a stock ITR one...but I am currently looking at a kit that R-Guy is selling for an awesome price..now i just have to come up with the funds...

What's wrong with the stock ITR brake set-up?
Rotors eventually wear out - either they get too thin, or they develop shudder due to warping or hot spots. In addition to the stock rotors, which are fine, there are a couple of other alternatives when it comes time to replace them.
Some people replace the stock rotors with Autozone rotors, which are cheaper.
Some people use their car on the track, where the brakes get very hot. Two-piece rotors with floating hats allow the rotor to expand without being "fixed" to the inner hub.

Nothing.

Lighter rotors? Such as cross drilled? or Carbon? Carbon = $$ Crossdrilled = bling bling with less thermal mass which will equal less braking when they get hot.

Well, cross drilled can't be that bad since the come stock on Porsche's...and they have excellent brakes... I am just looking for people have replaced the stock ITR rotors with aftermarket ones and have felt better braking. Slotted, crossdrilled, slotted and cross drilled...whatever...but i would just prefer a solid disk.
