~~~RHD Firewall converion vin missing is it okay? it has a usdm dash vin but the car has a jdm vin on the firewall.

i did some research and all i came up with is that its okay to have a usdm vin on the dash
but nothing on the jdm vin firewall?


is it okay to be missing the usdm firewall vin?

 

you could just cut the vin out of the rhd and usdm and weld the usdm in place on the rhd one

 

but the thing is the car that i wanna buy has no usdm vin on the firewall. only the jdm vin .

 

go down the street to the local chp office ie goldenwest/wutmunsta and ask them...before you do anything.

speak directly to them and get your answer.

Im pretty sure it would be fine unless the other vin was reported stolen, the car has 2 other vins, the doorjam vin and the dash vin. you can replace parts on your vehicle with parts from a dismantler or junkyard that dont match your vin how would the firewall be any different?

 

well it's kind of like tampering with a vin even if you mess with the dash vin the cops can take your car
