How to change SPOON Brake pads on a Type R
what pads do you use? i heard they are oem type r. but i looked in the book and the metal backing looks different. does anyone have the steps and pics of how to correctly change the pads?

Oem Type R pads work.
I would think most aftermarket pads would also work as long as the metal pad backing is the same shape as the OEM pad. There are 2 tabs on the top of OEM pads which go up against the two black pad retaining screws in the top of the caliper. To change the pads, just take out those 2 bolts and slide the pads out from the top of the caliper.
Kind of tough to describe, but it's really clear when you have the calipers in hand. You DO NOT NEED TO TAKE THE CALIPERS OFF TO SWAP PADS.
