differences between generations of hasport mounts
I am wondering if the early hasport mount kits for ef/b series placed the motor differently than the newer billet style mounts they sell today.
the mounts i am referring to:
old style
new style

Ive actually had both type Hasport mounts in 2 different cars. They old mounts positioned the engine ~1/2"-3/4" farther back compared to the new ones. The height seemed about the same.
The old mounts also required the weld seam on the rear crossmember under the rear mount, be bent down to clear the L bracket. The dent for the altenator on the frame rail was much larger larger on the old style also. I liked the axle angle better on these mounts but changing trans oil was a PITA as the fill plug was inline with the lca mount on the rear subframe.
