auto to manual. what do with the console??
I've got a 95 rs automatic. And as project car my dad and i are going to swap GSR motors. I'm trying to find the cheapest motor with the transmission. I've found one for 3300 i believe at jdmhondaparts.com. I'm wondering what all i will need to complete the auto to manual swap. The motor will be cake since my dad is a mechanic but as for the console I was wondering what is needed and how easy it is to pull out the shifter and mount the new one. Any help would be appreciated. Also just any info on the swap it self would be great. Thanks Guys!

do a search. im pretty sure there are alotta topics about the auto to manual swaps because i have read alot of them before. search for the achived and the recent topics. but i have heard that an auto to manual swap is a pain the the a$$. i am nto sure of all the things you need, but you do need a set of manual pedals. hope this helps
besides all the clutch assembly, pedal assembly, master cylindar etc you need... you also need to fabricate mounts on the frame for the manual to sit, as auto trannys have mounts in different places then manuals. You will need to cut them off and reweld them elsewheres and I Recommend that get professionally done... you don't want mounts breaking on you cause of a shitty welding
I haven't done the swap but searched all about this and have a pretty good idea of what needs to be done.
