lightened flywheel for 88 tranny???????
all i have ever seen them for is 89-91. Does anybody manufacture them? if so who?
My flywheel needs replacing because the teeth are grinding down and ruining my starter(im on my second starter).
Also what is your guy's opinion on lightened flywheels? Good? Bad? My friend has the exact same setup as me in his civic, except for the fact that he is running a fidanza 7.5lb flywheel and for some reason my car feels like it has a little more low end grunt to it.
My setup is a sohc zc with a header and exhaust, and an si tranny with a stock flywheel and an exedy factroy replacement clutch kit just so i can get the best recommendations on what would be best for my setup.
Thanks guys

So I take it this car is your DD? If so I wouldnt go with the 7-8...I have HEARD that it makes it rough to drive around with. I personally was going to get the 11 (if Im not mistaken). Through my research I found its a pretty good flywheel to go with if you want something alittle faster but still fun to drive. Good luck though.
well i have had a 11 pound fly wheel and wasn't as happy as i am with the fidanza when i was running d series it made a huge difference on racing i had the 7lb fidanza now that im b series i have the 7.5 and i can beat cars i shouldn't be or hang with them just because the fly wheel i have been driving on lightened flywheels for the past 6 years with NO PROBLEMS its actually easier to take off at lights i feel u don't have to slip clutch that much just bump bump gas then release and car will just GOO lightened flywheel also INCREASED FUEL MILEAGE i went from getting 280 miles on 10 gallons to getting 320 miles a lightened flywheel i believe is a very good thing to spend money on
thanks for the responses guys. Is there any company specifically that you guys know of that manufacture a lightened flywheel for the '88 clutch?
