whats set up should i use for my b17a1
good morning
i have a quick question. I'm thinking about turbocharging my gsr. my question is would a greddy bolt on kit be worth installing or should i get a custom fab. i'm only planing on pushing about 6 - 7 psi on stock internals with a block gaurd considering i have 190,xxx on my db2. which set up is more reputable and reliable. i wouldnt mind doing auto x/ or road racing some where in the near future.

FYI the last kit's "Turbonetics" turbo is probably a cheap copy with the "T" cast into the turbine housing. The other kits probably won't work properly, since they are made for 94+ models, and your GSR has big bars in the way (radius arms) where the piping normally goes.
Another bit of advice - don't bother with the block guard. You stand to have more issues than it solves. Sleeves rarely crack on a bone-stock motor. Its the piston ringlands that go well before the sleeves, at least with stock CAST pistons.
The stock motor should be fine for quite a while on 7psi with a Greddy kit or similar. All you'd need is larger injectors and a reliable OBD1-based tune.
