Default F22 TURBO BB4 GT25 8 psi

im buying a 1994 prelude with a f22 swap and gt25 turbo FMIC. it comes with an extra f22 not sure if its a f22b or a,,,

non-vtec in the car atm running 8 psi, he said its fun to drive and a great increase in the power.

ok the FRONT CRANK SEAL has a giant gargantuan beast oil leak.
should i attemt to pull this crank pully off and change it or swap it for the other motor..

if its a f22b im going to swap it anyway lol..

will post pics of the beautiful thing later. im at work lol.

well what i meant to ask was WHICH IS GOING TO BE MORE DIFFICULT?

A. change front crank seal which involves removing all the belts and resetting the timing and pulling the crank pully off. and not losing all the pins that go back in it.

B. swapping the f22 for the extra f22. and all that.

its propably front balancer shaft seal fel off the motor. Thats a common problem with f22s

is that not the front crank seal?
its not a definate crank seal leak, but if this balancer seal is easier to change then i'll do that instead.

changing the seal is less work. I had to do this on my h22 and it took about an hour, pulling the motor will probably take a few hours

you changed the crank seal? or did you change the front balancer seal?

and do i have to pull the motor out to do it?

i changed the front main seal ("crank seal") in about an hour, but changing the balancer seal is only a little more work than that i believe

yeah i called the guy and it has the big wiper conversion lol

and i cant get it till monday!! wtf.

the guy already has the timing cover off and all to see where the massive oil leak came from, he narrowed it down to the crank seal.

i think i'll leave it at 8 psi as well, i've read of ppl running 15psi on stock internals

i have the car now, the turbo setup is just ghetto, it has a blue FMU, 5th injector in the intake, and this long elephant ***** for an intake hose instead of the filter on the turbo..

BLOOD was all over the front window driver side inside, and the plastic next to the window, the airbags are gone, it dumps like 1 quart per minute of oil and it slings it on the timing belt all over the place...

and the title was signed over for sale but in no one's name.
i think they tortured the person into giving the car up then killed them in it.

i'll post pics.

this setup is so molested and abused, this car needs us! lol..

engine

intercooler wood screws

stripped all the crap off, and the FIFTH INJECTOR!? aka boost leak aka explosive hazard.
will swap with dsm 450 injectors

the t25 garrett setup. this is after we stripped all the pipes off. it ran fine (except the oil leak) but come on, i cant leave this car this raped.

apparently this car has the wrong power steering setup. so the oil dipstick is dumping oil too. along with front main seal.

im pulling the motor because IT SLINGS OIL WITH THE TIMING BELT. ofcourse its gonna be all over the place haha.

but this is my progress so far. it didnt look too bad til i filled it up with oil and did some boost checks and general engine inspections.
everything works great, its just rigged up, which you cant really see the crap that was rigged up.

im just gonna keep posting pics of my progress. im picking up my other motor today and getting the correct power steering and oil dipstick assembly off it.

if its a f22b2 i may just swap em everythings unhooked as of these pictures above.

working progress! cant rush perfection!

car was stolen after completion.
the title situation turned out to be the downfall. its not stolen but the car was quite unregisterable!
so when someone steals your title-less car try calling the cops about that lol

guy actually traded an ep3 for it, then stole the ep3 back before i got the title signed. ended up with lots of titles in no ones name and possession ruling all.
